Today is a non-working holiday here in the Philippines. It’s the 9th of April and we’re celebrating “Araw ng Kagitingan” (Day of Valor). A little history lesson: today is the day that we commemorate the greatness and and heroism of all Filipino and American soldiers who fought during WWII. It is to honor these brave souls who helped bring democracy and Freedom in the Philippines.
And since we’re talking about heroes, let me just segway a bit to a piece of art that I’ve been working on for quite a long time. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that tedious really; it was more of the lack of ‘free time’ to finish it. But alas, thanks to our heroes for this non-working holiday, here it is, my Iron Man X Captain America custom handpainted shoes. 🙂
